When I was 15 I started "Team Gregory," a team that has been represented at the Seattle Autism Walk since 2007. As a 15 year old, I wanted to share Gregory's power with the world. I spoke at various schools, Autism events, sold T-shirts my family and I had designed, and even spoke at the Walk For Autism before an audience of over a thousand people. That year Team Gregory raised more than $17,000 for Autism research. Today, Team Gregory has raised over $50,000 in Autism research, and the leadership of this team has passed on to my youngest brother, Justin.
Gregory has inspired me. He has taught me what words can accomplish. But more than that, he has shown me the kind of person I want to be. I want to be so passionate about life that those around me will have the courage to do what others deem impossible.
